DPCA is Your Local Ally in the Fight Against Cancer
No one should have to face cancer alone. At its core, DPCA is a service organization dedicated to supporting our neighbors with cancer and to providing cancer caregiver support. The people we serve are mothers and fathers; they are brothers and sisters; they are neighbors, friends, and family. They are cancer survivors and fighters. We are here to serve them as much or as little as they need any given day, week, month, or year.

DPCA is much more than a local cancer support group. We strive to make a significant, positive impact on the lives of those affected by cancer through caring, compassionate services and unwavering support. Our experience has taught us that knowing how to support someone with cancer is practical and relational. It’s definitely not a one-size-fits-all endeavor.
Stay Local
DPCA is a community-based team driven by our passion and desire to support our neighbors and community members impacted by cancer. All funds given to the organization come from our local area, and are given back to individuals that live in our local area. We keep community at the center of our focus.

About Our History
Danville-Pittsylvania Cancer Association was founded in the 1950s with a single mission: to ensure that no one in our region has to face cancer alone. Over the decades, we’ve grown to serve hundreds of clients each year with direct financial assistance and a wide range of emotional and practical support services. We are proud to remain a locally-focused, community-supported nonprofit serving Danville and Pittsylvania County.
